A Toy Museum in Our School

To consolidate our learning this term about Toys (Past and Present), we had a toy Museum in our hall yesterday Friday 27th May!  What an experience!  Thanks to Kat - our Museum Guide!

Setting Museum Rules

Opening Museum Room 1 - Bears

Old Bear - hard joints, has no label

New Bear - very soft and has a label

Ordering Bears (newest to oldest)

"You got the order wrong Kat!"

"Don't worry, we'll help you order the bears."

Well done 1T!

Opening Museum Room 2 - Dolls

"Oldest dolls were made of China ware like the plates we eat with at home.  They broke easily."

"New dolls are made of plastic!"

Opening Museum Room 3 - Moving Toys

Squeeze to move toy

Windup toy

Push button toy

"You need to pull up the top and push down really hard for this toy to spin!"

Matching old to new toys

"If old version - sit down, new version - stand up."

Opening Museum Room 1 - Invention Room
Unfortunately it's empty!

"We will help by inventing more toys!"

We enjoyed our museum visit!
